Green tourism award for Friends House

Friends House has received a Green Tourism Gold accreditation

Friends House Hospitality Limited is celebrating the news that it has received a Green Tourism Gold accreditation and been shortlisted for the London Venue Awards 2019.

According to the company, the accreditation makes it ‘one of the leading green venues in the UK’. The result is based on an assessment that took place in May 2019 when the venue achieved an overall score of eighty-seven per cent. According to the company, the venue has implemented a series of sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies, as well as recently integrating the UN sustainable development goals into its strategy. It has also launched ‘Bake the Difference’, a programme to help ex-offenders integrate into society through cooking and baking skills.

The London Venue Awards 2019 will take place in October, where Friends House Hospitality is one of the finalists in the Best CSR or Sustainability Initiative category.
