Grants announced by JRCT
Groups active in areas such as peace, human rights and sustainability have been awarded grants by JRCT
A wide range of groups working to create a better society has been supported in the latest round of grants awarded by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust (JRCT).
The groups supported are working in Peace and Security; Power and Accountability; Rights and Justice; Sustainable Future; and Northern Ireland.
The grants awarded in the past few months included £70,000 to the British American Security Information Council; £90,000 to Every Casualty Worldwide; £80,290 to Saferworld; and £119,777 to Refugee Action. The City of Sanctuary received £120,000 for their ‘Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives’ project.
Healing through Remembering, a project based in Northern Ireland that was set up to deal with the legacy of the conflict, received £145,000.
The Europe and Middle East Section (EMES) of the Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC) received a grant of £180,000 for thirty-six months for ministry, outreach and core funding.
