‘Over sixty per cent of the British population oppose the deployment of these US nuclear weapons in Britain.'

Quakers were among campaigners who gathered at the main gate of RAF Lakenheath this month to witness against US weapons in the UK. The protest and blockade on 4 April was organised by Lakenheath Alliance for Peace (LAP). According to CND, coaches came from London, Manchester, Yorkshire, the West Midlands, Oxford, and Norwich.
