Quakers were among hundreds of thousands of people around the world who marched ‘for climate, justice and jobs’ on Sunday 29 November.

Friends in London took part in an interfaith service at Westminster Synagogue before joining the march. Helen Drewery, general secretary of Quaker Peace and Social Witness (QPSW), read a prayer at the service.

Helen told the Friend: ‘I feel inspired that over one hundred Quakers marched on Sunday, with tens of thousands of others, for climate justice. We stood up for equality and demonstrated our commitment to take positive action to build a better world. It felt moving and important to have coorganised the interfaith service – for in these times our unity is more important than ever.’

Friends also marched in a number of other cities, including Dublin and Brussels, where they formed part of a human chain.
