Friends in witness at MP’s office

Gathering serves as ‘public witness of our grave concern about climate justice’

Quakers in Cornwall have said they intend to hold a Meeting for Worship (MfW) outside the Conservative MP George Eustice’s office this week. Penzance Meeting tweeted that the gathering outside the constituency office of the secretary of state for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in Camborne will serve as ‘public witness of our grave concern about climate justice’. The thirty-minute meeting on 24 September is open to members of the public as a way to call world leaders at the UN’s Conference of Parties (COP26) in November to take urgent action. The gathering will walk to the office together and then after the MfW, a Quaker will hand over a letter.
