Richard Thompson reports on a very successful France Yearly Meeting
France Yearly Meeting, which was held this year in Conqueyrac (Gard) in the south of France from 25-28 July, was a great success. Almost sixty Friends attended – more than double the figure for 2012. The theme of the gathering was ‘Learning to know each other in the eternal’ and, over the Yearly Meeting, participants enjoyed a wide range of activities. We began each day together, in silence, with early morning worship. Before the ‘little self’ had a chance to begin to think of itself or to seek its comforts, we sought the depth of that which sustains us, of that which unites us.
