Quakers were among hundreds of people taking part in an anti-fracking protest in London on 26 January.

The ‘No Fracking Any-where’ protest was organised by Friends of the Earth and other organisations.

Protesters gathered outside the Houses of Parliament to voice their opposition to the Infrastructure Bill due to be debated later that day.

Sunniva Taylor, of Quaker Peace & Social Witness (QPSW), said: ‘Attendance at the rally was just a small part of what Friends have been doing about the Bill. Friends have also been writing to their MPs; and QPSW has, on behalf of Friends, been engaging with MPs, especially those who have put forward amendments we support. You can find out more here: www.quaker.org.uk/infrastructure-bill.’

Quaker Peace & Social Witness described the bill as one ‘which would not enable a low-carbon economy’.
