Friends House has won a Bronze award for Best Conference Venue

Friends House won a Bronze award for Best Conference Venue at the London Venue and Catering Awards last month. The judges recognised the Quiet Company team for ‘great flexibility, focus on inclusion, and sustainability’.

In September 2024, the team partnered with Thomas Franks to create a new catering package which includes a plant-based menu. ‘For every forty delegates this menu is ordered for, we plant a tree,’ the team pledged on social media. The ceremony took place in London on 22 November.

The award follows two accreditations earlier this year. In July, the Meetings Industry Association (MIA) gave the venue a Gold accreditation, while the ‘Accredited in Meetings’ award was from Venues Of Excellence.

Describing the accreditations as a ‘fantastic achievement’, the Quiet Company said that ‘fewer than sixty venues in the UK hold either of these distinctions, and less than twelve… hold both’. The company is the fully-owned trading subsidiary of Quakers in Britain.
