The Quaker Arts Network (QAN) held workshops for creative exploration of ‘Earth’s Fragile Abundance’ last month, including outdoor sketching, creative writing, dance and textiles. The workshops, held at Swarthmoor Meeting House on 20 July, were the first of a series of events in conjunction with the Seeking Routes art exhibition at Swarthmoor Hall, which continues until 8 September.

Linda Murgatroyd, one of the founding members, told the Friend: ‘QAN’s AGM, held the same day, included a wide-ranging discussion of art as outreach and the close connections (or difficulty in distinguishing) between creative and spiritual practices. The AGM endorsed the committee’s suggestion that communication should continue to be its priority.’
