A short film explaining the conserving and mounting of the Quaker Tapestry is now available to download from YouTube.

The film was made in 2012 when all seventy-seven of the embroidered panels were remounted and framed.

Quaker Tapestry Museum general manager Bridget Guest told the Friend: ‘At the time, I kept getting requests from embroiderers, asking how to prepare their embroidery for framing, so the film was made to record our work and show others how this was done. We had done a lot of research and consulted textile experts in the process.’

The museum is creating a new website that will feature both the film and the booklet.
