'A Family and Friends' will premiere at Friends House

by Rebecca Hardy 6th April 2018

A documentary about the history of a well-established Quaker family will be premiered next week.

Antony Barlow will introduce A Family and Friends at the Quaker Centre Bookshop in London on 11 April. The documentary is based on his book He is our cousin, Cousin, which tells the history of his family over 350 years.

Antony Barlow, who will do a question-and-answer session after the showing, told the Friend: ‘Hopefully it will be a valuable historical document for future generations to know how Quakers lived and made a difference in former ages. Plans include it being available online to Quaker Meetings.’

Edinburgh University historian Alistair MacDonald, Quaker historian David Rubinstein, and Duncan Cadbury, the present chairman of the Bournville Village Trust, feature in the documentary.
