Members of Young Friends General Meeting spoke to the Friend about their experience of Yearly Meeting
A sense of fellowship It was my first time at BYM and, having heard about over 1,000 Quakers in one room in a Meeting for Worship for Business, I was intrigued about the atmosphere and whether it would be possible to achieve stillness and silence in a group that big. The start of the session was a powerful experience, feeling the silence across the Large Meeting House… Although it was brilliant to attend some of the sessions with Friends from YFGM, it was also good to meet and talk with other Friends in the sessions and talks I attended, feeling a sense of fellowship with people I had something in common with.
