One of the challenges facing the Religious Society of Friends in Britain today is living with diversity. Other Christian denominations are facing that challenge in different forms.

The Church of England is working out how to manage a life of worship and witness when one sizeable minority does not believe women can be bishops and priests and another (the Evangelical wing) believes that women should not teach or exercise authority over men.
