It is now possible for organisations, as well as individuals, to sign the Fair Penny petition

Over a thousand people have now signed the Fair Penny petition set up by Friends in Wanstead.  Those who sign the petition pledge that they are prepared to pay an extra penny in income tax in order to protect the most vulnerable in society from the effect of austerity cuts.

It is now possible for organisations, as well as individuals, to sign the Fair Penny petition.

Friends Melvyn Freake, Kate Green and Sharon Langridge, of Wandstead, have explained that at the heart of their petition was a concern to ‘respond always to “that of God” in everyone, whatever their views.’

They said that they would welcome invitations from Meetings to talk about the campaign and their work.
