Facts on film
Friends embrace film at Yearly Meeting
Friends continue to embrace the benefits of new technology and to explore imaginative new ways of presenting information. The presentation of the centrally managed work of Britain Yearly Meeting was told, for the first time ever, in a short, informative, film that was projected onto a large screen on the wall behind the clerks’ table.
The film used still photographs, montages and filmed sequences, such as a session of Meeting for Sufferings, to convey the diversity and range of work carried out by Britain Yearly Meeting.
The message was put across in a very effective, positive and stimulating way. It was enhanced by the occasional use of statistics on screen. Friends can view the film here: www.quaker.org.uk/ymg
