Eye dips into the archive, hears about a recent encounter, and a fishy occurrence

An inspiration

Jane King, of Devon Area Meeting, got in touch to share a moving encounter.

She sent this photo of the London March for Palestine held on Saturday 29 November and writes: ‘So many people come up to say how lovely it is to see Quakers on the protests and last Saturday someone from the Holocaust descendants said how grateful she was to Quakers for getting her father out of Germany on the Kindertransport in 1939. Thanks indeed to Corder Catchpool, Bertha Bracey and all those inspiring Friends who helped fundraise and home the 10,000 refugee Jewish children from Nazi-controlled Europe.
