Thirty years of EMEYF will be marked in August

European and Middle East Young Friends (EMEYF) is marking thirty years as an organisation with an all-age gathering in Germany.

Friends will meet at Haus Venusberg, Bonn, from 30 July to 6 August. The theme will be ‘The adventures of life’, and Friends will consider questions such as: ‘How do the changes of young adulthood shape who we are?’, ‘Does our faith change as we mature?’ and ‘How do we feel about death and what comes beyond?’

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the EMEYF archive will be on show. It includes documents, old minutes and epistles. The organisers hope that former ‘EMEYFers’ will also bring photos, memories and stories, so that a ‘living archive’ can be created.

George Thurley, EMEYF secretary told the Friend: ‘The deadline for registration is 31 March.’
