Bulak Dale argues that equality is vital in the creation of a more peaceful society. This essay won the inaugural Dorothy Trippier Peace Essay competition sponsored by Stockport Friends.

Peace is defined as the absence of hostility – characterised by a lack of violence and aggression, both in the international community and within smaller groups in society.
