CND challenges spending on Trident
A march in London will raise the issue of Trident spending
CND is inviting Friends to join a march in London on Saturday 4 March to promote spending on the NHS rather than Trident missiles.
CND has long highlighted that if the £205 billion cost of replacing Trident was spent on the NHS instead it would have a major impact. For example, it could pay for building 120 new state-of-the-art hospitals and employing 150,000 new nurses for the next thirty years.
Organisers expect this to be the largest mobilisation to save the NHS since the Health and Social Care Bill was passed in 2011. CND has organised coaches to London from thirty locations in Britain.
Those taking part are meeting at noon on 4 March at the Gandhi Memorial in Tavistock Square.
