On 31 March the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its new assessment of current and future impacts of climate change, and of the measures needed for human society to adapt. The report made front page headlines that day – but by 1 April it was displaced in the media by the announcement that we should all be eating seven portions of fruit and vegetables a day!
