Christians to unite in prayer
A week of prayer will run in January

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will run from 18 to 25 January 2016.
The theme for 2016 is ‘Called to proclaim the mighty acts of the Lord’. It is inspired by two verses from the First Letter of St Peter. The resources for the week have been prepared by members of different churches in Latvia, said the World Council of Churches.
For the first time, materials will be available on smartphones, computers and tablets. Through the ‘Bible App’, biblical reflections from the week of prayer will appear in a free, digital format available in English, French, Spanish, German and Portuguese. The app allows users to read the Bible, share verses on social networks and bookmark their favourite passages.
