Children take part in ‘Remembrance for Peace’ events

Fifteen major 'Remembrance for Peace' events will be taking part around the country

Eight hundred children will be descending on Friends House in London on 9 November to take part in activities to mark the centenary of the Armistice. The day, which is part of the INSPIRE project, is one of the fifteen major ‘Remembrance for Peace’ events taking place across the UK, from Finsbury Park Mosque to Coventry Cathedral. According to Britain Yearly Meeting (BYM), a partner of the INSPIRE project along with Oasis Foundation, Wales for Peace, Coventry Cathedral and Corrymeela, hundreds of schools are holding peace-themed assemblies and exploring peace in the classroom.
