Central Edinburgh Meeting House is hosting artwork in support of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement as part of a Scotland-wide art project.

Sue Proudlove, co-manager from the Meeting, told the Friend: ‘Edinburgh Meeting House has become the latest site for artwork forming part of the new Black Lives Matter Mural Trail in Scotland. Today [5 August], we were pleased to meet artist Ayo Adedeji as the striking, vibrantly coloured panels were installed on the railings outside the building. Ayo, who is currently studying art and animation in the city, told us that this is the first time he’s had his work “blown up” to a large scale and displayed in public.

‘Other artworks by Scottish artists from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds are on display in multiple locations across Scotland, in solidarity with Black Lives Matter.’

Details of the trail can be found on creative producer Wezi Mhura’s website.
