Barbara Potter describes how Scottish Quakers are moving with the times

West Scotland Area Meeting covers a vast area, including the inner islands and the Mull of Kintyre. This presents obvious travelling problems for those who need to attend Area Meetings.  We have been wrestling with how to conduct them in new ways and have scheduled three Area Meetings by telephone conference this year. We held the first of these on 12 March at 7pm for preparatory worship. The participants, who all dialled in at 7.30pm, had received papers in advance by email, together with the telephone number and code to enter the teleconference. I was one of three people at Glasgow Meeting House.
