Bury St Edmunds hosts Richard Murphy
Richard Murphy spoke at Bury St Edmunds Meeting House
On Monday 6 July Richard Murphy spoke at Bury St Edmunds Meeting House.
A chartered accountant, Quaker, economist and co-founder of Tax Research UK, Richard told those attending that politicians of all parties have failed to tackle the multiple issues which contribute to poverty and injustice both in the UK and abroad.
He expressed his belief that change, though slow, would come from the bottom up through activism such as the Common Weal project in Scotland. He emphasised that such campaigning must be rooted in our Quaker testimonies.
