Friends were told, in the interest group on climate justice, that if we do nothing the resulting chaos would be devastating.
This will be worse than the pain of controlled systemic reform. Technology is not enough to change our climate. It is more complicated than that. Justice means fairness and equal access to energy. It is all about relationships. That means dialogue between all the parties involved: consumers, business, politicians and the vulnerable.. The session highlighted the issue of divestment from fossil fuels. Many Meetings have already divested from investments in fossil fuel companies.
