Bournville tree stays lit
Bournville Village Trust hopes lights will 'act as a beacon of light, hope and happiness'
A large Christmas tree outside Bournville Meeting is to keep its lights on until the end of January in an attempt to uplift people.
Co-clerk Anne Giles told the Friend: ‘The Bournville Village Trust, which owns the Meeting house and pays for the Christmas lights, has decided to keep the lights on until the end of January. Their website states that it’s due to popular demand and will “help brighten up a dark, lockdown January and act as a beacon of light, hope and happiness”. The lights are LEDs so the cost is quite modest.’
