Central England Quakers took part in a multifaith day of prayer last month in a bid to share prayers from different spiritual traditions.

The ‘24 Hours of Prayer’ took place on 18 and 19 January, launching the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2019. According to Birmingham Churches Together, which organised the event, the week is ‘an integral part of the rhythm of prayer in and for our city’.

The ‘24 Hours of Prayer’ took place at The Church at Carrs Lane. Each hour was led by a different church or group, which, according to Birmingham Churches Together, brought together ‘a diversity of Christian traditions and styles of prayer’.
