Bath Quakers mark Windrush anniversary
Friends are supporting an initiative marking the seventieth anniversary of the Windrush migration
A number of Bath friends are supporting a Bath Interfaith Group initiative to mark the seventieth anniversary of the Windrush migration.
John and Shelagh James, Judith Eversley, Margaret Heath and William Heath said they want ‘to celebrate the sense of being at home, and see how we can help people troubled by the present “hostile environment” policy’.
The Friends had a planning meeting for the event with Christ Church and St Andrews School, where many Bath migrants attended. Plans include a service at Christ Church on 24 June, followed by a barbecue and steel band.
