Bath Meeting House to be sold
Trustees for West Wiltshire and East Somerset Area Meeting announce that Bath Meeting House will be sold
Trustees for West Wiltshire and East Somerset Area Meeting have announced that ‘the sale of Bath Meeting House will be launched by the end of January 2020’.
In a statement to the Friend, clerk of the Area Meeting trustees Jane Stephenson and deputy trustee Kate Macdonald wrote: ‘The original decision to sell the building was taken in 2018, as the Meeting house is larger than Bath Friends need for their own purposes. Since April 2019 Quakers in Bath have been meeting in rooms at Bath Central United Reformed Church which are more suited to the Meeting’s everyday needs. The Meeting house is being marketed for sale by local estate agents Carter Jonas.’
