Heather Woolley describes the ups and downs of a cycle ride to raise funds for Barmoor’s centenary appeal

Initially, the ride – a trip round all our Meeting houses – was called ‘Area Meeting on the move’. By the time we finished we had become the ‘Barmy Barmoor Bikers’.  Weeks of planning and discussion by the ‘Friends of Questionable Sanity’ followed, during which time I fell off my bike and lost two teeth, John got married, routes were discussed and sponsors were acquired, whilst the weather grew steadily worse and worse.
