‘Your love is needed.’

When I was a boy (a long time ago, as I am now ninety-two) I attended Flowery Field Sunday school in Hyde. Our prize possession was our Sunday school banner. It was enormous. It needed two strong men to lift it up, and many others to hold on to various strings and ropes so that it didn’t blow away. It depicted a more-than-life-sized picture of Jesus blessing and defending children.
