Animals lost in war remembered
Commemoration held
Friends were among those who recently commemorated the loss of thousands of animals in human wars.
Members of Quaker Concern for Animals (QCA) took part in a service organised by the Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals (ASWA). They were joined by members of the Catholic Concern for Animals (CCA) at the Animal War Memorial at Park Lane in London on 13 November. The service was led by the reverend Helen Hall, with intercessions by the reverend professor Martin Henig. Pen Farthing of animal charity Nowzad Dogs gave an address.
