American Friends are to hold Spring Lobby for a fair immigration system

American Friends are holding a Spring Lobby weekend in Washington on 17-20 March as part of an on-going campaign for a fair immigration system.
The event, run by the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL), will be held at the National Press Club and aims to teach people how to effectively lobby the government.
‘We want immigrants to be welcomed in this country and our communities – not deported or denied entry,’ says the FCNL website.
The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) has also reported that people in Greensboro, North Carolina ‘have reached out to our office, asking how they can get involved to support a more welcoming community’.
