American Quaker publishers raise funds to stay in business
Barclays Press is raising funds to keep in business
Barclays Press, an American Quaker publisher, announced this month that it has made significant progress in raising funds to keep in business.
The publishers were previously funded by a Yearly Meeting but are to lose their funding in 2019.
They have reported that the press has raised twenty per cent of what they need in 2018 to keep them afloat.
Eric Muhr, of the Oregon-based press, wrote on the website that a private donor has offered to ‘match every donation that comes in over the next four weeks, up to $1,000’.
