Thirty thousand Muslims from the Ahmadiyya tradition gathered in Hampshire between 12 and 14 August for the UK’s longest standing Islamic conference and made a strong condemnation of violence during their meeting.
Muslims from more than 100 countries attended the fiftieth Jalsa Salana. At the gathering the worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Adhad, said: ‘Recently, terrorist organisations have started to regularly commit the most barbaric atrocities in Western countries. The terrorists have no knowledge of Islam because they would realise that the Holy Prophet of Islam forbade the murder of innocent people under any circumstances.’
