ACTS of worship

Elizabeth Brown reflects on what Quakers can learn from the rich spirituality of other traditions

David Bowgett and Michael Hennessey, both former Anglicans, speaking at a recent workshop provoked us to explore worship through the ACTS of Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication that are central to the Anglican way. It proved fascinating to see the debts that we as Quakers owe to our roots and how our historic breakaway brought a freshness that is still radical and relevant today.
