Everything in Busan is on a large scale. Even my hotel room is a suite into which my home flat would fit comfortably. The accommodation needs to be spacious. There are more than three thousand at the assembly. The theme – ‘God of life, lead us to justice and peace’ – has been explored in plenary sessions, in Bible studies, in workshops and in groups.  The Quakers here come from many parts of the world and, along with the Mennonites and the Church of the Brethren, hope to work together on peace issues to ensure that the WCC develops as strong a position as possible.
