by Harry Albright 3rd February 2017

This year’s Quaker United Nations Summer School will take place in Geneva from 2-14 July.

The event provides an introduction to the work of the United Nations, as seen through the programmes of the Quaker United Nations Office (QUNO).

Formal and informal discussion sessions are designed to give the twenty-five summer school participants an in-depth understanding of the issues that QUNO is working on, such as human rights. There will be lectures, small group discussions, role plays and workshops.

Participation in the summer school is not limited to Quakers.

The closing date for applications is 15 March.
