A new report highlights problems with the provision of religious education in the UK

The rules governing religious education teaching are not ‘fit for purpose’, a new report states.

It also reveals that too many state schools are failing to meet their legal obligations to provide religious education for all students.

The interim report, Religious Education for All, was produced by the Commission on Religious Education. It offers a series of recommendations that include a new ‘National Entitlement for Religious Education’.
