Meeting for Sufferings: Social Justice Subcommittee

A new Subcommittee has been established

At the meeting of Britain Yearly Meeting trustees in June it was noted that a new Social Justice Subcommittee had been established within the structure of Quaker Peace & Social Witness (QPSW).

This Subcommittee will ‘encompass the work of the Crime, Community and Justice Subcommittee and forced migration’.

This is a rather strange combination on the face of it. It seems to lump those subject to forced migration with those who commit crime.  They are often treated similarly by the authorities, but I’m not sure we should…
