The first reading of ‘Margaret of Swarthmoor’, a new play by Kirsten Ebsen, took place at Oxford Quaker Meeting House on 12 September. The narrative is held by ‘Older Margaret’ who, looking back on the previous forty-five years of her life, recalls events that happened. Kirsten Ebsen spoke to The Friend about the background to the play.
