Iraq Inquiry
Symon Hill should not be discouraged by Joan Robson’s criticism. The sincerity of Tony blair is not in question. Yes “he believed it was the right thing to do at the time”. If sincerity is the measure of our actions, there are hundreds of dangerous people who commit the most horrendous crimes.
Symon was also right to include the views of the people outside the inquiry. A good reporter gives us the context of the event described.
The overall context deserves our attention. We belong to a species which is rapidly approaching its own extinction because we are not moving from the way of the warrior to the way of brotherhood.
