White feather diaries

The latest white feather diaries go live

The latest instalment of The white feather diaries went live online on Monday 26 October.

The diaries speak of the experiences of five Quakers who refused to serve in the first world war. They are set in late 1915, when the threat of conscription was imminent and opposition to war was censored. New posts will appear on Twitter and the white feathers diary website (website no longer available), drawing from original writings, photographs and other records.
