I among many believe that the cuts give the Tory’s who are the main coalition partners an excuse to push forward a privatising ideology, which I imagine has always been the plan.
The real poor are not protected, Housing Benefit cuts I believe will result in increased homelessness. The poor will once again be blamed for their own poverty, we’ve seen it all before. While reckless and careless bankers will continue getting their bonuses. Some tinkering around the edges may occur, I can’t imagine a substantial windfall tax will be visited on the banks to offset the worst of the cuts - will a change in the voting system help, maybe. I hope the agenda of a real coalition might be fairness, Justice and peace for all.
